Carl G. Shambaugh

Carl G. Shambaugh, age 69, of Wisconsin Rapids, formerly of Bancroft, passed away Monday evening, January 21, 2019 with his family at his side at Edge Water Nursing Home in Port Edwards.

   He was born October 12, 1949 in Sandwich, Illinois the son of Earl and Clara (Miller) Shambaugh.

    Carl served his country in the United States Army.  He was employed at Paramount Farms for many years until his retirement.  He moved to the Bancroft area in the early 1970’s.  A man that enjoyed the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing in his early years.   Carl was a story teller His greatest passion was spending time with family and friends.

   He is survived by his daughter, Lori Shambaugh, Bancroft; two granddaughters, Brittany and Monica; and two great grandchildren, Liam and Adalina; special friend, Wayne Munro and Wayne’s dog, Doc; further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

   Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Burial with full military honors will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.  The Stahl Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements, www.stahlfuneralhome.com

   The family would like to thank everyone at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield especially Dr. Isaac Yeboah and his cancer team.  A special thank you to the staff at Edgewater Nursing Home and Ascension At Home Hospice for their care and compassion for Carl.
