Evelyn Joan (Schwarz) Beggs

Evelyn Joan Beggs, age 74, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 9, 2019 at the Wild Rose Manor.  Her death was due to complications of diabetes.  Evelyn was born April 7, 1945 at the Wild Rose Hospital to Herman and Anna (Ross) Schwarz of Hancock, Wisconsin

Her youthful days were spent growing up on the family farm.  Evelyn met the love of her life Robert during their freshman year.  They graduated from Tri County High School in 1963.  Evelyn was united in marriage to Robert Beggs on December 26, 1964 at the Hancock Wesleyan Church.  Upon Bob’s return from serving in the Navy, they built their home where they resided since 1969.

Evelyn was a member of the Hancock Wesleyan Church since 1955.  She was a homemaker and spent many years as the caregiver for her mother.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Robert of 54 years; two brothers, Karl (Marcella) Schwarz, Donald (Theresa) Schwarz; two sisters, Lois (Richard) Klein and Lorene (Donald) Allen-Berry.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her sisters, Alene Losey and Geneva Humphrey and her brothers-in-law, Dale Losey, Royce Humphrey and Dale Allen.

Special thanks to the Dialysis Care Team at Riverview Clinic of Wisconsin Rapids for their many years of care and service to Evelyn.  Also to Hospice and the nurses at the Wild Rose Manor and the Wild Rose Hospital for their wonderful care.  A special thank you to the Doctor at the Wild Rose Hospital.

A celebration of Evelyn’s earthy life and her heavenly homecoming will be held at the Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services.  Burial will be in the Hancock Cemetery.
