Mary C. (Schmaus) Gutschow

   Mary C. Gutschow, age 88, of Plainfield, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.

   She was born March 13, 1930 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Joseph W. and Cecilia E. (Kelly) Schmaus.  She married Donald G. Gutschow in June of 1959.  He preceded her in death in January of 1984.

   Mary grew up in Milwaukee where she raised her family before moving to rural Plainfield in 2009.  She enjoyed reading books, working on crossword puzzles, playing bingo and most of all spending time with her family. 

   She is survived by her children, David (Pam) Gutschow, Plainfield, Constance Wieshar, Milwaukee, Daniel (Maurice Lilley) Gutschow, Milwaukee; four grandchildren, Grant, Joshua, Ryan and Reece; three great grandchildren, Max, Noah and Hayden; her best four-legged companion, Elvira; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

   In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her son Curtis, granddaughter, Rihanna and sister, Joanne.

   Funeral Services will be held on Friday evening December 28, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband in Woods National Cemetery, Milwaukee.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.  To share a special memory or share your condolences, please visit, www.stahlfuneralhome.com.
