Richard "Dick" Blader Obituary

Our beloved, faith-filled father, brother, grandfather, uncle and dear friend, Richard  “Dick” Alfred Blader, left our world to be with his Lord and Savior who Richard spent his life on earth faithfully serving.  Richard Alfred Blader was born on November 6, 1937 on his family farm in the Town of Dakota and passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 1, 2019 surrounded by his family. He married Carol (Bursack) Blader on April 24, 1981 at the Weselyan Church in Pardeeville, WI.

Richard graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1960 receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture. He worked a number of years as a supervisor for GM motors and worked in numerous sales positions until his retirement, where he enjoyed his part-time employment at Stoneridge greeting and assisting customers with a smile and hug that was infectious.

He was proud to be an American, and was very passionate about fulfilling his civic duty as a citizen. He was proud to be a lifetime member of the NRA and various Christian organizations that he served and supported. He attended the Waushara Community Church in Wautoma.

Faith, family, friends and love of his country were the center of his life. He was a humble man who enjoyed hunting, gardening and talking with people and sharing his love of the Lord. He spent his life being a faithful servant and was an example of how we should live our lives, with his generous heart he inspired, he loved and he prayed for so many of us. His strong and unwavering faith are part of the legacy that he leaves us all.
