Alice R. Davies

April 22, 1951 — November 1, 2025

Wautoma

Alice Prasch Davies, age 74, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, November 1, 2025 at Heartland House in Wautoma, surrounded by family.

She was born April 22, 1951 in Chicago, the daughter of James L. and Alice R. (Minor) Prasch. She married Gregg P. Davies on May 3, 1980 in Tucson, AZ.

Alice grew up in Chicago. After graduating from high school, she attended UW Oshkosh and graduated with a degree in social work. She started her career as an elder care specialist. She later founded Davies Consulting, a social work business she ran out of her home. Alice’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her friends and family. You could find her at a supper club on the weekends or up at the lake in the summer. She loved a good story and she loved to laugh.

Alice was a driven, intelligent, and fiercely independent woman. She was a leader in every phase of her life, and her love for her family and found family was boundless.

She is survived by her husband, Gregg P. Davies; her children, Joe (Liz) Davies and Ann (Derek Olson) Davies; her siblings, John (Debbie) Prasch, Maggie Prasch and Ann (Bob) Lienweber; her sister-in-law, Diane Prasch; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Tom and Jim.

To honor Alice’s wishes, a celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.
