May 17, 1939 –June 12, 2025

On June 12th, at 6:15 PM, Ann Sigourney, age 86, was called home to be with the angels.

Ann was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin at Saint Michael’s Hospital on May 17,1939, to Cecil and Velma Wright. Ann grew up in Hancock, Wisconsin and graduated from high school in Plainfield, Wisconsin. On May 16, 1959, she married Frank Sigourney and became a dedicated farm homemaker. She raised two huge gardens every summer and canned or froze every edible vegetable or fruit along with venison, beef, and chicken. She enjoyed playing cards and games on the big oak kitchen table with friends and family. In the winter she loved bowling with her team in Hancock. She was exceptionally good at it, too. She was active in many organizations such as the Hancock Citizens Group and the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary. Ann was immensely proud to have received her 50-year membership pin with this group.

On June 12, 2012, Ann moved to Westville, Oklahoma to be closer to her sister, Mary Bagby and her husband Jim . She greatly enjoyed her nephews and their families along with the many friends she made during her thirteen years of living where winters were warmer.

Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Olson and stepfather, Oscar Olson, who raised Ann from the age of nine, and whom she always called Dad; her husband, Frank Sigourney; her brother Thomas Wright and wife Beverly; her brother Richard Wright and wife Norma Lou; three babies, a girl and two boys, who went to heaven before being born; her brothers and sisters-in-law Donald and Doris Sigourney, Bryce and Blanche Sigourney, Garth and Thelma Sigourney, Ida Mae and Phil Norquist; nephew Edward Sigourney; great-niece Sydney Small; niece Cheryl Sigourney; niece Carollee Norquist; nephew Tim Rauls; and a beloved nephew, who spent countless days and weekends on the farm, Kevin Sigourney.

Ann is survived by her brother, Cecil Bruce (Linda) Wright, of Huntington Beach, California, and sister Mary (Jim) Bagby of Westville, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews: John (Lydia) Wright, Todd Wright, Greg Wright, Deanna Wright, Rob (Libbie) Bagby, Seth (Dani) Bagby, Peggy (Glenn) Rooney, Mike Sigourney, Chris (Donna) Sigourney, Sylvia Sigourney, Mitch (Patty) Sigourney, Eileen Sigourney, Char (Jim) Small, Jackie Sigourney, Corey Sigourney, Sandy (Jim) Fraser, Mark (Lori) Sigourney, Scott (MaryJo) Sigourney, Marie (Tim) Hanrahan, Brad Norquist, Marla Rauls, along with numerous great- and great-great nieces and nephews in Wisconsin who loved spending time on the farm.

Ann’s Celebration of Life service will be at the South Burr Oak Church (County Road G) on August 16th at 11:00am, with the inurnment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery (County Road V). There will be a visitation on August 16th from 10:30am until the time of the service.
