On June 5, 2025, Arlene Leone Meyer of Almond, Age 91, was called home to the Lord. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Arlene was born on May 7, 1934, in the Town of Belmont, Portage County, to Steve and Mary (Yanta) Skipchak.
Arlene grew up in the Wild Rose area and attended Wild Rose Public Schools. After graduation, Arlene worked at the Waupaca County Highway Department. She then met and married Ernest Joseph Meyer on September 18, 1954. Arlene lived a busy farm life while raising four (4) children. She enjoyed gardening, reading, a good church picnic with bingo, loved to watch her grandchildren grow and loved her faith in God. Arlene also worked various seasonal jobs off the farm.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Joseph Meyer, her brother-in-law, Edwin Hudziak, and her son-in-law, Gordon Boerner.
Arlene is survived by her children Dee Boerner, Wisconsin Rapids, Steve (Wendy) Meyer, Wautoma, Dan (Teresa) Meyer, Almond, Donna (Paul) Krings, Ripon.
Arlene leaves ten grandchildren: Kristin (Shawn) Paulson, Katie (Jon) Claude, Brandon (Danielle) Meyer, Brent Meyer and Lauren Hoffa, Bryan (Megan) Meyer, Melissa Meyer (fiance’Austen Pekarek), Meghan Meyer, Kade Krings and Marissa Gies, Ryan (Tori) Krings, Nate Krings. Eight (8) great-grandchildren, her only sibling, Margaret Hudziak, and many nieces and nephews.
