Biography
 
 Betty Schommer Gellerup was born into the family of God on January 13, 1935, lived a full, active and rewarding life and entered the Kingdom  of God on March 12, 2010. Betty was the daughter of Bill and Ella Schommer of Port Washington,Wisconsin. She graduated from Marquette University. In 1958, Betty married Fred Gellerup and they had five children, Greg, Don, Mary,  Paul and Peter. Greg preceded her into the Kingdom in 1990. Along with  being a homemaker and mother, Betty spent many years plying her skills  as a dental hygienist. Betty's accomplishments were many. Among them were her culinary skills, expert sewing, her dedication to protecting the unborn through  Right to Life, her numerous volunteer activities, her very favorite  pastime of golf, her devotion to her church and family, and her  unexcelled generosity towards others. Betty is survived by Fred, daughter-in-law Bonnie Gellerup-Herbst and  her children Dane Gellerup and Dillon and Stephanie Herbst; son Don  and his daughter Olivia Gellerup; daughter Mary (Harry) Bolich and  their children Greg and Liz Poser and Sophie Bolich; son Paul (Robyn)  and their children Samantha, Nathan and Ryan Gellerup; son Peter  Gellerup; brother Bill (Marybeth) Schommer; and Aunt Gertrude Neuhengen. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church  in Wautoma, Wisconsin, on Thursday, March 18 at 11am. Visitation will  be held at the church at 9:30am until the Mass. Burial will be in  Calvary Cemetery following the service followed by a luncheon at the  church hall. A memorial has been established in Betty's memory for Right to Life  and the Wautoma Public Library. Betty's family extends their sincere thanks to Dr. Karen Greminger and  Wendy, Kelly and Monica; the Wild Rose doctors, nurses and staff, the  gently loving care of Agnesian Hospice Hope, Leikness Funeral  Services; and all the caring people who prayed for Betty over the many  years of her illness and provided meals, flowers and support for our family.
