David A. King, age 75, of Mount Morris, passed away on August 3, 2026, at his home.
David was born on July 11, 1951, in Corning, New York, the son of Percy F. King and Nancy Ann (Pierce) King. He was raised in New York, where he attended school and spent his early years.Answering the call to serve his country, David enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served during the Vietnam War. Following his faithful service, he was honorably discharged in 1976.After returning home, David dedicated his career to the building trades. He worked as a union carpenter, general contractor, and master cabinet maker, earning a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, hard work, and attention to detail. Whether constructing homes, remodeling projects, or creating finely crafted cabinetry, he took great pride in his work and the lasting quality of everything he built.
He is survived by his son, Shane King; grandchildren, Lane King and Remington King; his brother, Jim (Debbie) King; his sister, Michelle (David) Davis; his aunt, Betty Jean Pierce; along with extended family members and many friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy F. King and Nancy Ann (Pierce) King; his sister, Judith Tompkins; and his brother, Darrin King.
To honor David's wishes, private family services will be held at a later date in New York
