Deborah J. (Austad) Peterke

Deborah J. Peterke, age 67, of Hancock, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, October 25, 2023 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

She was born September 29, 1956 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Daryl and Barbara (Duecker) Austad.  She married Marvin Peterke on October 24, 1992.

Deborah grew up in the Milwaukee area where she graduated from Custer High School.  She worked for Johnson Controls for 30 years retiring in 2016.  She and Marvin moved to Hancock from the Hartford area seven years ago.  Deborah enjoyed scrap booking, rummaging, bingo, pool, fishing, holidays, spending time on the deck with a beautiful lake view and entertaining family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, Marvin Peterke, Hancock; her children, Dan (Melinda) Peterke, Fon du lac, Denise (Tom) Black, Mayville, Lee Peterke, Hartford; grandchildren, Jasmine and Autumn Black, and Hayden Peterke; her siblings, Doug (Colleen) Austad, Peggy (Kenny) Stemler, and Darren Austad; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.  Stahl Funeral Home of Plainfield is assisting the family with arrangements, www.stahlfuneralhome.com
