Donald F. Krueger

Donald F. “Don” Krueger, age 86, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2026, at his home in Plainfield.

He was born on April 13, 1940, on the family farm, the son of Louis C. and Anna Grace (Georgeson) Krueger. Don grew up in the Plainfield area and attended Tri-County Area Schools, graduating in 1958.

Following graduation, Don enlisted in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. After completing his military service, he returned to the Plainfield area, where he farmed for many years.

Don was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and friends and caring for God’s great creation through his lifelong work as a farmer. Don also enjoyed his Friday fish fries, a gin martini on the rocks, and the many good times he shared with those closest to him.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Tammy F. Eisner and Tina (Sandria) Krueger; his two grandchildren, Cody D. Eisner and Caitlin A. (special friend, Jerry Quick) Eisner; one great grandson, Cole; and his brother, David Krueger; further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Penny Sue.

A Military Honors Tribute will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield. Following the tribute, family and friends are invited to share stories and memories of Don until the conclusion of the visitation at 7:00 p.m.
