Racine

With deep love and sorrow, the family of Jacob Duda shares the news of his passing on July 6, 2026, at the age of 22. Born on March 9, 2004, Jacob brought joy, laughter, and warmth to the lives of everyone who knew him.

Jacob will be remembered for his happy-go-lucky spirit, quick sense of humor, compassion, and natural ability to connect with people of all ages. He had a special way of making others feel comfortable and welcome, walking into any crowd and leaving with new friends. He loved dogs, wildlife, and the simple moments that brought people together.

Family and friends were at the center of Jacob’s life. He treasured time spent with those he loved and found joy in shared meals, family activities, travel, and everyday adventures with his mom, Carrie; step-dad, Andy; brothers Adam and Eric; brother Nate; and sisters, Ashley and Madie. Growing up, Jacob was especially close with his cousins Mason and Max, sharing many holidays and summer days with them at the lake and creating memories that will always be cherished.

Jacob lived with energy and curiosity, enjoying activities in every season.

In the summer, he loved wakeboarding and tubing; in the fall, he enjoyed hunting; and in the winter, he looked forward to snowmobiling with his dad, Mike and brothers. He also loved skateboarding, exploring Chicago, and discovering new skate parks wherever he went.

He shared countless memories through pool league and softball league with his brother Eric, Miguel Valencia, Jose Arroyo, and other close friends. He also enjoyed online gaming with cousins and friends across many states, staying connected and sharing laughter no matter the distance.

Jacob is survived by his loving family: his father, Michael (Lori Drexler) Duda; his mother, Carrie Donovan; his step-father, Andy Donovan; his brothers, Adam and Eric Duda; his stepsiblings, Ashley (Ryker) Herring, Madisen (special friend, Ole Cervantes) and Nate Donovan; his grandparents, Jerry and Betty Duda; his grandmother, Karen Forsberg; his uncle, Curtis Rohr; his aunt, Christine Rohr; and his cousins, Max and Mason Rohr.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. Jacob’s laughter, kindness, and adventurous spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
