James C. Hanson, age 74, of Hancock, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, April 19, 2026 at ThedaCare Medical Center of Wild Rose.

He was born August 2, 1951 in Milwaukee, the son of Carl and Mildred (Bergstedt) Hanson.

Jim grew up in Milwaukee and attended Pulaski High School. He enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany from 1970 – 1974. He returned to the Milwaukee area and was employed as a machinist for many years. In his spare time, he bowled and played pool with friends. He later moved to his retirement home in 2000 where he and Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. In his later years as health slowed him down, he enjoyed watching television shows with his wife such as “Walker, Texas Ranger”, MacGyver, Classic Car Shows, and Sunday Packer Games.
