James Clyde Mosier (85) passed peacefully at home surround by his loving family and into his eternal life in Heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 9th 2026. Jim was a devoted husband, father, papa and friend, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jim was married to the love of his life Karen for 60 years. Together they built a life centered around our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, love, family and friends. Jim loved spending time with his sons enjoying being outdoors, hunting and fishing. If it had fur, feathers or fins, Jim taught them how to provide for their families. Jim took great pride in his two sons Todd (Charlotte) Mosier of Oshkosh and Jayson (Rebecca) Mosier of Wautoma. He was a very proud and loving Papa to his beloved grandchildren Brenna Mosier and Nathan Mosier both of Wautoma, who brought him endless joy. He loved living next door to them so they could always get in some sort of mischief everyday. Jims very favorite time with them was when he was the “Papa Bus”, taking them to and from school.
Jim is also survived by his cousins Mike Mosier and Patty Mosier. His sister-in-law Jean Lemke. Niece Dawn Bauer, Nephews David (Carol) Lemke and Daniel (Alisa) Lemke along with several nieces and nephews, extended family members and many dear friends including long- time best friend and fishing partner Donny Bertzyk.
Jim was preceded in death by his dear wife Karen, and his parents Lyle and Nellie Mosier.
Jim worked in the gas industry at Skell gas then dedicated much of his life to his own family business, taking pride in the work and relationships he built throughout the community. Jim was an active member at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Wautoma. He was a long-time member of the Richford Game club and the Wautoma Rod and Gun Club. He also worked on the Dakota town board.
Jim enjoyed activities that brought people together. Spending time with his family and friends. He loved his Friday night group that all enjoyed going out to eat, having dessert and playing marbles. He also enjoyed his morning coffee crew and their many lively conversations.
Jim will be greatly missed and remembered for his love of Jesus, his strong work ethic, and his intense love of his family. Jim lived a full life and at the end was excited to be welcomed into the Arms of Jesus and to be reunited with his wife Karen.
A special thank you to Dr. Dar and his amazing staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center at Aurora Oshkosh, his Heartland House Hospice team and all of those who loved and cared for him.
Jim requested a private family ceremony and to be buried next to his wife Karen. Jim will be forever loved, remembered and missed. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity or church in Jims’s name.
