Jerel "Jerry" E. Klimke

Oct 7, 1948 — Aug 15, 2026

Wautoma

Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Peggy; his children, Carla (Daren) Plantz and Todd (Melissa) Klimke; and his grandchildren, Tyler (Brittany), Megan (Kyle), Logan, Sophie, and Bria.

Jerry found great joy in the simple things in life and, most of all, in spending time with his family. He loved hunting, fishing, and golfing, and enjoyed trips to the casino, going out to eat, and family vacations. Some of his greatest joys came from watching his grandchildren participate in their sports and school activities. He was always there to cheer them on, support them, and encourage them in all that they did. Jerry was known for his unwavering support and encouragement of his family. His love, guidance, humor, and presence created memories that will be cherished by his family for generations to come. Jerry was a member of Hope Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Merna (Raatz) Klimke; his grandparents, Richard and Elsie Raatz; and his brother, John Klimke.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church on October 7, 2026, which would have been Jerry’s 78th birthday. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until services at 12:00 noon. He will be laid to rest in the Hope Lutheran Cemetery.

Jerry’s greatest legacy is the love he gave to his family. Though he will be greatly missed, his memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the countless memories shared with those he loved.
