Jesse James Lockhart

Jesse James Lockhart, age 77, of Plainfield, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center in Schofield.

He was born January 15, 1949, in Virginia, the son of James E. and Goldie M. Lockhart.

Jesse moved to the Plainfield area in the early 1980’s. He worked for Midwestern Farms and later was a truck driver for Plainfield Trucking.

Jesse enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, shooting pool and spending time with family and friends. He was also an active member of the Tri-County Threshermen's Club.

He is survived by his son, Jesse (special friend, Michelle) Rompasky; three grandchildren, Jessica Trevino, Hailey Rompasky, and Matthew Rompasky; two great-grandchildren, Hudson Trevino and a granddaughter on the way; two siblings, Herman (Sandi) Lockhart and Donna M. (Daryl) Footit; his special friend, Sandy Potzel. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Goldie M. Lockhart; and his siblings, James Lockhart, Shirley Wright, Brenda Beggs and Chuck Lockhart.
