Karl Schwarz, age 94, of Wisconsin Rapids, formerly of Hancock, passed away peacefully Monday morning, August 4, 2025 at his home.
He was born May 4, 1931 in Ozone, Arkansas the son of Herman Schwarz and Annabell (Ross) Schwarz. He married Marcella “Marcy” Holden on June 4, 1954 in Columbus, Wisconsin.
Karl proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on October 28, 1953. Karl was employed for many years at the Waushara County Highway Department as a grader operator, retiring in 1996. Karl enjoyed traveling with his daughters and gardening.
Karl is survived by his wife of 71 years, Marcy Schwarz; his daughters, Susan Schwarz, Norcross, GA., and Sharon Radtke, LaCrosse; his grandchildren, Michael Schwarz, Tammi Schwarz and Steven Radtke; and great grandchildren, Mireya (Tammi) and Elliott and Brooklyn (Steven); siblings, Lois (Richard) Klein and Lorene (Donald) Allen-Berry; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Michael Karl Junior Schwarz, son-in-law, Steve Radtke and siblings, Donald Schwarz, Alene Losey, Evelyn Beggs and Geneva Humphrey.
Karl was laid to rest in a private graveside service at the Hancock Cemetery.
