Leonard Baughman, age 73, of Plover, WIsconsin, formerly of Coloma, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully, Friday evening, October 31, 2025.
He was born October 8, 1952 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, the son of Wilbur and Doris (Wenzel) Baughman. He married Kathleen Tolbert on January 20, 1973 in Hancock, WI.
Leonard attended Adams-Friendship High School graduating in 1971. After graduation, he served his country in the United States Army from 1971 until his retirement in 1989. During his service, Leonard traveled to Turkey, Japan, Germany and several states throughout the United States. After his retirement from the Army, Leonard, Kathy and their three daughters were ready to return back to their home state of Wisconsin to be closer to family. Once in Wisconsin, Leonard began his career in farming working for Colburn Farms, Paul Miller Farms, and later retiring from Heartland Farms in 2004. Leonard’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathleen Baughman; his loving daughters, Tami Creighbaum, Melissa (Neil) Henriksen and Stephanie (Paul) Moore; grandchildren, Jack (Natasha) Hintz, Ty (Candice) Hintz, Keagen (Sheridan) Schmidtke, Natalie (Dakota) Meisel, Madelyn (Josh) Henriksen, Chance Cernoch, Alexis Stevens-Moore, PJ Moore, Nic (Ariana) Moore, and Natalie Moore; great grandchildren, Jack, Creighlynn, Lincoln and Oaklee; his siblings, Jennifer (Greg) Comegys, Leslie (Nickii) Baughman, Kathleen (Jim) Baughman, Louis (Cindy) Baughman and Alicia (Tom) Dolezel; further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Doris Baughman, step-father Frank Voightlander; his in-laws Rolla and Rosemary Tolbert; sister Lenore Barnett, brother Wilbur Baughman; brothers-in-law, Ronald Tolbert, Donald Tolbert and Rolla Tolbert Jr.; sister-in-law Marlene Tolbert; niece Laurie Lacrosse; and son-in-law Daniel Creighbaum.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Coloma. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Leonard will be laid to rest in the Hancock Cemetery with full military honors.
