Mary Elizabeth "Mary Beth" McClellan, RT (R) (M), age 70, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, in Hancock, Wisconsin. Born on August 22, 1954, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she lived a life marked by compassion, creativity, and unwavering faith.

Mary Beth was a beloved daughter of Rosalia (1920-2009) and Stanley (1920-2015) Gwiazdowski and grew up in Milwaukee as the middle of her siblings Christine, Margaret (Frank, 1944-2020) Pfaff, Raymond, Michael (1957-2012), Thomas, and Laura Jean. She graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School before moving to Illinois, where she would meet a good friend who would eventually become her husband. After years of working in the home, she decided to pursue her passion for helping others at the College of Lake County, where she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology. Her dedication to her profession was evident throughout her career as both an x-ray tech and a mammography tech, where she brought both skill and empathy to every patient interaction.

She shared a loving marriage with her husband James "Rod" McClellan. Together they built a family rooted in love and laughter. Mary Beth was a devoted mother to Krista McClellan, Lynnaea Smith, and Rebecca Frederickson. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren—Robin Fitzgerald, Logan Smith, and Violet Frederickson—each of whom brought immense pride and happiness into her life.

Mary Beth’s home was filled with warmth and creativity. She had a lifelong love for sewing, cross-stitch, and crochet, crafting beautiful pieces that reflected both her talent and care. Her watercolor paintings captured the world through gentle brushstrokes and vibrant color—a testament to her artistic spirit.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Mary Beth’s love for Jesus shone brightly in all she did; it guided her words and actions alike. Those who knew her were touched by her kindness, wisdom, and deep compassion. She had a sassy streak that kept everyone on their toes, paired with a wicked sense of humor and sharp wit that made every conversation memorable.

Mary Beth leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, artistry, and faith. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire all whose lives she touched.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
