Richard E. Swiontek, age 79, of Bancroft, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, June 21, 2026 at his home with his family at his side.
He was born October 21, 1946 in Stevens Point, the son of Ernie and Ida (Philbrick) Swiontek. He married Lois G. Clark on June 19, 1971.
Richard grew up in the Bancroft area where he graduated from Almond High School and later served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1969. He returned home to rural Bancroft, where he began his passion of farming until his retirement in 2012. Richard had many passions in his life from anything aviation, restoring tractors and inventing anything to make a job easier. His greatest enjoyment was his family. He loved attending all their events and just spending time with them.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Lois G. Swiontek, his children, Todd (Jessica) Swiontek, Brian (Karoline Whitman) Swiontek, Emily (Don) Nigh, Stacey (Tom) Hrubesky, Lori Swiontek, grandchildren; Lily, Eli, and Audrey Swiontek, Michaela (Brad Ziaya) Swiontek, Savannah (Mike) Still, and Jordyn (Stan Saint-eloi) Swiontek, Keagen and Dwight Nigh, Demi (Alex Seidl) Albro; great grandchildren; Laynee and Josie Still, Carter and Callan Seidl, Sylvie and Zayvin Saint-eloi, siblings, Ernie Swiontek and Jeanette Wilson; brothers-in-law; Jim, Pat, Gary, and Richard and sisters-in-laws: Mary, Donna, and Chris. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vern and Verna Clark, a sister, Margie, sisters-in-law: Linda, Anita, Jean, and Debbie and brother -in-laws: Dave, Ray, Dale and Mike.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 12:00 noon in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Full military honors will follow the services. Please visit, www.stahlfuneralhome.com to share your online condolences.
