Sandra L. Urban

Sandra L. Urban, age 81, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, September 21, 2025 at Waupaca Elder Care Home.

She was born July 31, 1944 in Highland Park, Illinois the daughter of William R. and Julia M. (Kline) Volkman. She married Gary A. Urban at Saint Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids on June 15, 1968.

Sandra was a graduate of Tri-County Schools. After her marriage to Gary, she worked in Chicago until they moved back to Plainfield in 1974. She began her rewarding career as a bookkeeper at Union Telephone Company, Plainfield in 1975 and retired after 35 years in 2010. She enjoyed lunches at Ron’s Family Restaurant and going to the casino gambling.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary A. Urban and two brothers-in-law, Gerald and Roy Urban. Also survived by special nephew, Donald (Nancy) Volkman as well as other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents, her brother William and sister Barbara.
