Dec 17, 1956 — Aug 24, 2026

Wautoma

Terrence M. “Terry” Nolan, 69, of Wautoma, passed away Monday evening, Aug. 24, 2026, at his home in the Town of Deerfield.

He was born Dec. 17, 1956, in Geneva, Ill., the son of William J. and Mary E. (McGuire) Nolan. Terry grew up in Winfield, Ill., and graduated with the class of 1975 from West Chicago Community High School.

On July 8, 1989, he married Eva Eynik and they lived in Wheaton, Ill, where he started his working life, employed by Pulte Homes, repairing and remodeling homes. In 1999, Terry and Eva moved to Wautoma, where they built their dream home and made many wonderful memories together.

Terry ended his working trades career as a skilled carpenter at Burger Boats, where he was happiest to be remodeling, repairing, and working on boats, until his retirement. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed using his talents, both at work, at home and helping friends, neighbors and family.

Terry enjoyed playing darts, hunting, and fishing. He especially looked forward to TEVA, the annual family reunions held on his and Eva’s property, where family and friends would gather and spend time together.

Terry was always willing to lend a helping hand. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Everyone who knew Terry has a story to tell about him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eva; his siblings, Bill (Kay) Nolan, Eileen Nolan, Kathleen (the late Terry) Ford, Liz (Jerry) Helt, and Mary (Paul) Forester; his loving mother-in-law, Bola Eynik; his brothers in law, Ron (Kathy) Eynik, Ted (Chris) Eynik, Andy Eynik and Richard Meyer; many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and cousins; many friends; and his special canine companion, Luke. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Pat Meyer and brother Tom Nolan.
