Violet V. Monroe, a beloved homemaker and devoted mother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025 in Wautoma, at the age of 98. Born on December 19, 1926, in Hancock, Wisconsin, Violet lived a life filled with care, love, and hard work. She dedicated herself to her family and community, leaving a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Violet graduated from high school in the Plainfield area, where she made her home for the entirety of her life. Active in her community, she worshipped at Grace Lutheran Church in Deerfield and was a proud member of the Legion Auxiliary.
During her 41-year marriage to Kenneth Monroe, Violet raised five wonderful children, a feat of which she was immensely proud. Her commitment to her family was unwavering, and she nurtured them with the same love and compassion that defined her character. Violet is survived by her children: Bonnie (Art) Davey, Larry (Debbie) Monroe, and Laurie Monroe. She regarded her grandchildren with great affection, and they include Brian Keatts, Jennifer Mercer, Chris (Curt) Rohr, Cole Monroe, and Tonya (Dan) Patton.
Violet was predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth Monroe, as well as her son Randy Monroe and daughter Shirley Keatts. She also mourned the loss of her parents, Walter and Leona Faultersack, her sister Dorothy Byom, and her brothers Norman, Leonard, Donald, and Vilas.
Violet's hobbies reflected her vibrant spirit; she enjoyed needlepoint, playing cards, bingo, and completing crossword puzzles. These pastimes brought her joy and allowed her to connect with friends and family in meaningful ways.
Funeral services will be held at Stahl Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of services followed by burial in the Grace Deerfield Cemetery.
Violet V. Monroe leaves behind a rich tapestry of love and memories, one that continues to inspire and uplift those she touched throughout her life. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who are forever grateful for the time spent with her. In lieu of flowers memorial would be appreciated in Violet’s name
