Warren Steve Sagami

Warren Steven “Steve” Sagami, age 75, died peacefully, Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital.He was born July 9, 1950 in Mazomanie, WI to Jin and Haruko Mary (Miyoshi) Sagami. The Sagami’s moved to Plainfield in 1967, where Steve graduated from Tri-County High School in 1968. He was avid in sports, which included football, basketball and track. Steve then went on to obtain his electrician’s license and later started Sagami Heating and Electric. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Butts in 1969. Together they became parents to Steve’s firstborn child, Haruko. The marriage was dissolved years later. His second marriage to Darlene Zettelmeier, not only added Dar’s two children,Tommy and Ashley, into his life, but also, Tomio, whom they had together. This marriage also ended years later. Steve loved to fish and hunt. In addition to that, he loved being with family and his R Bar crew for breakfast, cards and pool.

He is survived by his children, Haruko (Chris), Tomio, Tommy and Ashley; grandchildren Jaxson, Mac, Mavis, Eddie, Remington, Chase and Tayler (Will); great grandchildren Bram and Augey; siblings Rod, Cal, Lindsey, Austin, Susie, Martha and Sara; other family members and many friends, especially Tom Downey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Donnie and Norman. We would like to thank his R Bar group for their friendship and company, especially Josh and Sara.

A funeral will be held at noon on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield. Visitation from 10:00 until the time of service. Steve will then be laid to rest at the Plainfield Cemetery.
