David Peterson Obituary

David J. Peterson, age 38, of Hancock, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday morning, August 22, 2020 as a result of an automobile accident in the town of Deerfield, Waushara County. 

He was born August 22, 1982 in Oceanside, California, Camp Pendleton, the son of David C. Peterson and Debra A. Micke.  David was a graduate of Tri-County High School.  He will be remembered as a fun-loving young man that enjoyed spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, riding motorcycle and gardening.  David had a big caring heart and was always willing to help anyone at need.  He was a devoted friend to many especially his girlfriend June that he cared for while she battled cancer. 

He is survived by his parents, David (Pam) Peterson, Wautoma and Debra (Dennis) Lackey, Hancock; his brother, Kenneth Peterson, Fond du Lac; his paternal grandparents, Carl Peterson, Wautoma and Jeanette (Ted) Steinke, Plainfield; two stepsisters, Alicia and Tonya; further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his significant other, June Davis.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield with private family services to follow.  He will be laid to rest in the Hancock Cemetery.  Please visit, www.stahlfuneralhome.com to share a message with David’s family.
