Dexter D. Sparks, age 75, of Nekoosa, formerly of Plainfield, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday morning, September 16, 2020 at his home.
He was born November 13, 1944 in Green Lake the son of Orris and Ila (DeWitt) Sparks. He married Dana M. Welden on August 1, 2015.
Dexter was a member of the Plainfield Assembly of God. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, hobby farming and mechanics. He was a warm loving family man with a big heart of Gold. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Dana M. Welden; his daughters and son, Roxanne, Courtney, Sierra, Gavin and Nevaeh; his grandchildren, Greg (Amanda), Stewart (Kasey), Virginia (Jimmy), Joshua; 15 great grandchildren; siblings: Jean Rhoda, Charlotte (Orin) Nigh, Helen Sparks, Edna (Doug) Reilly, Berdine (Ed) Leavitt, Daniel (Bobbi) Sparks; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the New Life Assembly God in Plainfield. Due to the current health crisis, masks are strongly encouraged. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield and from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services at the church.
