Donald Hasselquist Obituary

Donald G. Hasselquist 87 of Mt. Morris died unexpectedly on Friday March 6, 2020.  
    He was born on February 13th, 1933 at his home farm.  He was the son of William & Martha (Simonson) Hasselquist.   In 1955 Donald married Barbara (Nelson).
    Besides working on the farm Don worked for Bovee Furniture and as a Real Estate Broker. Don was very much a people person and loved nothing better than to sit down with a cup of coffee and tell stories, he would sit for hours.  Don was a fantastic Ping Pong Player and loved all sports.  He loved to compete in cards (500) and many other games with family and friends.  Another passion was Fly fishing for trout.  He also enjoyed hunting, trapping and anything to do with the outdoors.  Don had a marvelous sense of humor and loved to be involved in practical jokes and pranks.  He was close to his family and valued every minute he spent with them.  
    He is survived by two sons Rick (Mary)  and Rory (Clari), two granddaughters Natalie (Adam) Topper and Kalli (Sam) Peterson and three great Grand boys Logan, Lucas and Quinn, one sister Carmen, special friend Jackie, nieces , nephews and other relatives and friends.  He was proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers Walter and Allen, four sisters Inez, Nona, Lena and Betty. 
 
In lieu of flowers a Memorial has been established in his name.
