Joseph Walter Obituary

Joseph J. “Joe/Peg-leg” Walter, age 54 of Hancock, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 4, 2020 at Thedacare Hospital in Appleton.

He was born January 2, 1966 in Hartford, the son of John and Kay (Berlowski) Walter.  He married Donna L. Bradley on August 3, 1991.

Joseph was raised in the Hartford area graduating in 1984 from Wautoma High School, Wautoma, WI. He moved to the Hancock area in 2009 where he enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and being with family.

He is survived by his wife, Donna L. Walter, Hancock; his children, Jamie (Jason) Mata, Mike (Barb) Rothe, Betty Joe Walter, Cody (Billy) Walter, Shannon (TJ) Walter and son-in-law Nathan; his parents, John and Kay Walter; his grandchildren, Chance, Cayden, Sara and Brinlee; his siblings, Pam (Bill) Schreiber, Lisa (Doug and Tess) Johnson and Christine Walter; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services.  Please visit, www.stahlfuneralhome.com to share your condolences with Joe’s family.
