Karen A. Kainz, age 76, of Coloma, was received into God’s arms on Wednesday afternoon, October 20, 2021, while at Heartland House, CBRF, in Wautoma.
She was born March 27, 1945, in South Milwaukee; the daughter of Harold and Frances Saxler. She married Daniel N. Kainz on July 3, 1981.
Karen Saxler-Kainz was definitely an angel on this earth to many people. She had a heart of gold. She was a teacher and lifelong advocate for those with special needs; a wife, a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, daughter, sister, poet, photographer, doll maker and so much more. Many know she was ravaged by Alzheimer’s in the last years of her life and we are grateful for her loving husband for taking such great care of her. Karen and Dan moved to the Coloma area in 2001 where they were active members of the Coloma Lions Club and Good Shepard Catholic Church of Westfield.
She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel N. Kainz; her children, Jessica Loflin, Dianna Sullivan, Laura (Ron) Christie and Norman (Nancy) Kainz; son-in-law Wayne Krenz; her grandchildren, Dan (Tammy) Kainz, Nick (Kaley) Kainz, Derek (Laura) Dobrecevich, Jonas (Johanna) Christie, Jordon (Cristina) Christie, Luke (Kama) Krenz, Rachel Krenz, Strya Sullivan, Reyna Sullivan, Liam Loflin; great grandchildren, Hailey Kainz, Mason Dobrecevich, Colton Kainz, Payton Kainz, Blair Christie, Jack Backhurst, Rowan Christie, Daniela Christie; her siblings, Sue Zunk, Bill (Laury) Saxler, Bob (Mary Ellen) Saxler, Kathy (Bill) Prondzinski; further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Georgianna Krenz, and brother-in-law, Jerry Zunk.
