Obituary

Marlin M. Schimelpfenig, age 76, of Neshkoro, passed away Saturday evening, March 12, 2022 at this home after a lengthy illness.

He was born July 20, 1945 in Coloma, the son of Marlin and Doreen (Goodwin) Schimelpfenig.  He married Penny L. Nielsen on July 25, 1991 in Richord.

Marlin grew up in the Wautoma area where he enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, fishing and going to the casino.  Marlin enjoyed visiting with people, spending time with family and friends.  He will be remembered for his years of working at the Berlin Foundry and selling vegetables at his produce stand.

He is survived by his wife, Penny L. Schimelpfenig; three children, Daniel (Miriam) Schimelpfenig, Deana (Chris) Toutz, Sarah (Brian) Stacy; six grandchildren, Megan, Emily, Ava, Eli, Ian and William; two brothers, Steven and Ralph Schimelpfenig; three sisters, Susan (Jay) Loeffler, Marlene (John) Mirr and Donna Schimelpfenig; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
