Renee E. Wilson was born to David and Jeanette (Swiontek) Wilson on May 13, 1970. She grew up in Bancroft with her brother Troy and created many memories with friends and family. Renee enjoyed spending summers and school breaks with her grandparents, Harold and Jenny Wilson of Bancroft on their farm. She also enjoyed Sunday dinners with her grandparents, Ernie and Ida Swiontek, and where her aunt, uncle and cousins could be found.
Renee has two beautiful children, Braden Hunkins and Jennifer Kramer, whom she loves more than life itself. She would do anything for them - driving to all of their sporting events, attending extracurricular activities, and always there to help and support them. Renee served as Secretary for the Almond-Bancroft Booster Club, fundraiser for the Pop Warner Football Club, Brownie Troop Leader and Friend of Music Member.
In her free time, Renee enjoyed cross-stitching, everything Christmas, word puzzles, crocheting, various art and craft projects, spending time with family, traveling, kayaking and writing curriculum.
When her children were in elementary school, Renee attended Family Consumer Science classes at UW-Stevens Point where she earned her teaching degree. She taught at Weyauwega-Fremont School District for 15 years. Renee taught dual credit classes at Fox Valley Technical College. She was also the FCCLA Adviser where she had several state officers and a number of national competitors. Every student who entered her room was one of her “Kids” and she loved each and every one of them like her own. Renee has had the pleasure of staying in touch with a number of graduates over the years. Renee finished her teaching career with Wautoma Area School District where she was excited to be working with the Academic and Career Planning Program.
Over the past six years Renee was blessed to make several new friends who have become her family. She was grateful for each of these relationships which helped her to remain strong when it seemed impossible to do so
Renee was very touched by the love and support she has received from her school families, friends, and family during her battle. Thank you to everyone who has touched Renee’s life in a small or big way. You are loved and blessed; you really make a difference.
