Sharon Bratel Obituary

Sharon Barbara Bratel (nee:  Bobby) was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world peacefully after a long, courageous battle with Cancer at age 76 on Wednesday, January 13th.

She was born in Chicago to Joseph and Josephine Bobby on September 9, 1944.  Sharon moved to Plainfield as a child and met the love of her life, Warren Bratel, when she was 14 years old.  After graduating from high school, they married, moved to Milwaukee and had two sons, Keith and Dean.  In 2001, they retired in Plainfield and enjoyed spending time with their family and friends on Long Lake.

Sharon was a talented cook and homemaker.  Her favorite pastime was paging through food & cooking magazines while chatting with her sister, Marlene, about the next recipe they might try.  She loved pontoon rides with her family, listening to Warren play her favorite songs on the piano, fireworks on July 4th and celebrating Christmas.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 58 years, Warren Bratel; her sons Keith (Deb) Bratel and Dean (Michelle) Bratel; her granddaughters, Bridget Bratel, Samantha Lindner and Ali Peltier; her grandsons Ethan Bratel and Ryan Bratel; her sister Marlene Van Ert; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Joseph Bobby and a grandson, Matthew Bratel.
